About
First I listen. Then I search.
Nele Traen, founder of YATO Solutions

I'm Nele Traen, founder of YATO Solutions. My expertise wasn't built at a desk but over roughly two decades in HR and recruitment: in consulting, in hiring, and in countless conversations with people and companies.
My recipe is unspectacular — which is exactly why it works: listen, understand, ask the right questions. Only then connect. I combine analytical precision with genuine empathy, because neither works without the other.
To me, recruitment consulting means more than recruiting. It's about recognising potential, opening up opportunities and shaping careers so that they last. Clients call me a sparring partner — that captures it rather well.
What you can hold me to
Four principles.
Listening before searching
No search starts before I've understood what it's really about — with companies just as with candidates.
Quality over volume
Few mandates, full attention. I'd rather introduce three people who fit than thirty who might.
Honesty, even when it's uncomfortable
If something doesn't fit, I say so. It saves everyone time — and builds the trust that good decisions are made on.
Discretion without exception
Confidentiality applies in both directions, at every step, with no fine print.
Behind YATO stands a small team.
So that I can truly take time for every mandate, a small, well-rehearsed team keeps my back free behind the scenes. The person across the table, though, is always me.
Villach, Carinthia
Deliberately not a hotspot.
YATO Solutions is at home in Villach — not in Vienna, Munich or Frankfurt. That's not a coincidence but a decision: the calm of Carinthia makes it easier to think clearly, advise honestly and judge independently.
Our mandates take us into the business centres of Austria and Germany. The distance from the treadmill isn't a drawback — it's our vantage point.
